Evivo is a revolutionary new probiotic that is intended for breastfed babies. I was intrigued on how this product is different from the other infant probiotics. Lucky for me, Westside Mommy asked me to be her correspondent to Evivo‘s event for breastfeeding mommies to learn more about their product and all the research this company has done.

Emcee’ing the event was Vanessa Barnett (StilettosAndSippyCups.com). She kept the brunch lively, fun, and personal when she shared her own breastfeeding journeys, when she didn’t realize that good gut health can start from day one. On the panel was Dr. Tanya Altman, a pediatrician; and Dr. Tracy Shafizadeh, a metabolic researcher; they provided a wealth of knowledge on what has been happening to our guts and our babies’.

Gut health, is not always something new parents worry about when thinking about having a healthy baby…(but) it should be high on the list to keep your baby in tip top shape.

Gut health, is not always something new parents worry about when thinking about having a healthy baby, but as I learned at the Evivo product introduction at Au Fudge, it should be high on the list to keep your baby in tip top shape.

Evivo is a probiotic specifically designed to restore the good bacteria back into your baby’s gut. It has been clinically proven to rejuvenate your baby’s gut back to its optimal state. This is the only product out in the market that is formulated just for infants. It has activated b. infantis bacteria that must be mixed with breast milk to keep the bacteria alive. Human breast milk contains HMO’s, human milk oligosaccharides; which protects/feeds the bacteria until it reaches its final destination: the intestines.

that’s where the magic happens

As they say, that’s where the magic happens; the good bacteria will fight off all the bad ones and get expelled. One of the many effects of having a good gut health is a better immune system; improves the absorption, digestion and elimination of food; reduces yeast overgrowth; and so much more. Who doesn’t want that? Especially for brand new babies who come into this world with a sterile gut, it’s really important to make sure what put in helps them on the inside.

After the brunch, it made me reassess my own breastfeeding journey and how I can improve upon it by adding more probiotics into my baby’s diet. I really want to live by Evivo’s slogan and be #SmartasaMother.
