Beverly Hills: Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting

6:00pm: Lining the median of Rodeo Drive between Santa Monica and Wilshire Boulevards will be 16 full size Baccarat chandeliers, brilliantly lit birch trees, 42 iridescent palm trees, and hundreds of vibrant red poinsettias.  Picturesque holiday banners of chandeliers will be displayed along the street. Two Rodeo and the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, will be radiant with more than 50,000 lights in celebration of the holiday season with another 100,000 red and white twinkle lights along the famed boulevard.

A shimmering glow of nearly 150,000 lights will brighten Rodeo Drive this holiday season, during the annual Beverly Hills Holiday Lighting Ceremony.  The festivities will feature the seasonal spectacular lighting of the holiday lights, a fireworks show and a confetti “snow” shower, heralding the arrival of the 2014 Holidays.

The ceremony is open to the public. 300 block of Rodeo Drive near the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Brighton Way.

Universal City Walk tree lighting ceremony and concert

7:30pm – 10:00pm: Universal CityWalk celebrates the start of the festive holiday season with a spirited tree lighting ceremony by bringing to life a towering 40-foot Christmas tree, entwined with more than 200,000 brilliantly colored LED lights that will radiate throughout the destination.

To help Universal CityWalk ring in the holiday season, Carson Daly and the top 10 Finalists from the Emmy Award-winning television series, “The Voice,” will join Santa center stage to light the soaring Christmas tree, amid a flurry of sparkling confetti.

Immediately following the tree lighting ceremony, “The Voice” artists will host a free concert performance at “5 Towers.”

Throughout CityWalk’s holiday festivities, “5 Towers” will feature free concerts, and glimmer with hourly snowfall at Santa’s Snow Zone, where guests may take photos with Kris Kringle himself aboard his giant sleigh. Event dates are Friday, November 28 to Thursday, December 25, 2014. Celebrate the season of goodwill at the annual Downtown Culver City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, presented by the Downtown Business Association and the City of Culver City. See Santa Claus as he makes a very special visit all the way from the North Pole. There will be hot cider, hot cocoa and festive treats to make everyone feel merry, plus performances by local choirs and appearances by City Council Members. Culver City makes this holiday celebration “green” and energy efficient, lighting a beautiful 22-foot artificial Rocky Mountain pine tree with over 7,500 warm-white LED lights. Stay afterwards for dinner at one of Downtown Culver City’s many restaurants or take a leisurely stroll down the beautiful boulevards. Culver City’s downtown area features a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries, and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets. Parking is free in all three municipal structures for up to two hours, and valet parking is available at four convenient Downtown locations.

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Front steps of City Hall (275 East Olive Avenue) Join us in celebrating the holiday season at the Mayor’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. After the ceremony, visit with Santa, write a letter to our US Troops, and be sure to check out “The Rink” in Downtown Burbank behind City Hall for a special performance by the Los Angeles Ice Theater.
