Kids Meal Review: Smashburger Culver City

Last week, some friends and I, with their kids, met up at Smashburger in Culver City for dinner. It was my second visit. I had a good experience the first time with friends and their kids, so I recommended it to another group of friends.

The kids menu at Smashburger has four items:

  1. Kids Smashburger
  2. Hot Dog
  3. Chicken Strips
  4. Grilled Cheese

Each of the items is offered with fries and a kid’s fountain drink. A juice pouch costs extra.

Two toddler girls (my daughter and my friend’s daughter) with not so big appetites shared one chicken strips meal. Our friend’s kid, a boy, had the hot dog meal.

Mommies ordered the fried pickles. The kids tried them but didn’t care much for them, maybe because they were salty. I didn’t mind, though.

This was my burger. The flatness of the burger reminds me of IN-N-OUT burgers, but the taste is totally different. Not better not worse. Just different. The toppings were pretty good and their fries are nice and crispy.

Dining area & seating:

There are plenty of high chairs and booster seats available. The first time I dined here, my friends and I sat in the enclosed patio area. That was nice because when the kids were loud, we didn’t feel like we were bothering anyone. On my second visit, we sat indoors. There is a long cushioned bench seat, which the kids shared and sat on using booster seats.

The staff does a good job of keeping the restaurant clean. They are attentive to the littlest of guests, which makes this a good go-to-spot to meet up with friends and their kids for dinner.
