Westside Mommy contributor Claudia Segovino attended The Mother Company‘s launch party and tasting event at Target Culver City June 25, 2016. Here is what she experienced!
Last Saturday my kids and I went to Target Culver City for the launch of The Mother Company products and a showcase of local brands now available at the store.
The boy’s section at Target was full of kids ready to listen to Ruby, the host of Ruby’s Studio. She read to the kids four of The Mother Company‘s books with themes related to feelings, safety and siblings. It was interesting how my son, who is 3 and does not understand English 100%, was fascinated with the way Ruby read the stories. He even remembers her and asks me to read or watch one of her videos.
We got a couple of books that I think can help me with some issues that I need to explain my toddler. At the end of the story telling, Ruby signed them and we took a picture with her.
Later, we took a picture with the Target Dog. We were very excited to meet him!
At the end, we tasted some local brands introduced by Target. My son tried three snacks for kids – Fruigees organic squeezable snack made of fruit and veggies, Barnana dried banana bites, and Matt’s Munchies fruit snacks.
My daughter and I tried Cali Water cactus water, Chocovivo cocoa spreads, Choctál vanilla and chocolate ice cream tours, and Coolhaus ice cream. All these products are high quality and are from local producers.
We enjoyed tasting these products and even brought some home. The event was a fun and nice way to spend a Saturday morning with the kids.
