The following post is by our dynamic mother-daughter duo, Jonna and Shelby and their experience at Zooga Yoga in Culver City.

I tried Zooga Yoga and I LOVE it!!! My mom says that I’m too stressed out with school and need to learn to relax…yoga is so relaxing! First our teacher, Megan, told us all to tell her something good and bad that happened or is going to happen. She called it “rose and thorn.” Then we did some poses. The two I like the most so far are the “Tree Pose” and “Child’s Pose.” Near the end of class, Megan told us to lay down on our mats. Then, she put lavender pillows over our eyes, played some music, and sprayed grape-scented spray over us. I walked out of there ready for bed. I slept so well that night, something that is usually a bit difficult for me!

I’m so thankful my mom found this class and I really look forward to returning! I strongly recommend it!

My 5th grade daughter is stressed out most of the time…between school, friends, hormones, parents, her younger sister, etc., she seems to get quite wound up, unable to focus, and almost depressed sometimes. My girlfriend (her Godmother) suggested yoga so she can learn some tools to relax on her own. So after some research, I found Zooga Yoga and decided to go there (regardless of the drive) because it had such great reviews. Also, they were so nice and understanding on the phone.

I was convinced my daughter wouldn’t like it, especially because she begged not to go. However, she loved it! We have been a handful of times and I can truly say I see a more relaxed child. Even when I mention the word “yoga,” she seems to drop her shoulders and breathe deeply…
