Baby Boot Camp MOLO 2017 Challenge Update

Today’s Baby Boot Camp MOLO assignment is to:

Review the S.M.A.R.T. goal I set in February, assess where I am and what I need to do to meet the goal. Write down those next steps.

Here’s where I am with those:

  1. Lose 10 pounds

I haven’t lost 10 pounds. I’ve lost about five pounds, which fluctuates daily. I’m not going to be too hard on myself about the pound thing, because I know it’s more about how my clothes fit and how I feel about myself. I would still like to keep this goal of losing 10 pounds, but the fact that it’s taking me this long means it will have to be a gradual loss over time.

  2. Lose 2 inches in my waist

To be honest, I don’t really want to measure myself right now. I know I lost inches because my clothes fit me better, which was a goal of mine. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping the amount I lost so far is two inches, but I’ll keep this goal.

  3. More salad and meal prep

It was difficult for the first week or two, but now I’m used to having a salad for lunch. My salads aren’t complicated, and usually contain whatever I have in my fridge, so that makes it easy. I make my own dressing, which I think make a big difference in taste. I’m lazy when it comes to meal prep, so having the same thing for breakfast (hard boiled egg) and lunch (salad) every day make my goal of meal prep easy. I should be better and plan dinners.

  4. Exercise at least 2-3 times a week

I’ve kept this goal, but missed the mark one or two weeks. What motivates me to work out is the socialization aspect, so thankfully, Baby Boot Camp is a place where both my daughter I can socialize! I haven’t worked out with new instructor Helena yet, but I hope to. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people and some good friends at Baby Boot Camp, exercise is actually fun!

There’s only a few more weeks of MOLO, but I hope to continue working toward these goals and maintain this healthy lifestyle!
