Book Review: “Love Big”

Celebrate love and friendship this Valentine’s season with the new children’s book, “Love Big” by Kat Kronenberg, illustrated by David Miles. This story takes place in the African savanna, with gorgeous animal illustrations, which include: a baboon, a rhinoceros, a termite, a hare, and a lion.

The lesson in this book is to treat others with kindness instead of selfishness, because everything is connected. The effects of one will affect others, and this book illustrates how working in a group will the benefit the community.

I read this to my five-year old and both her and I enjoyed it: I loved the message and illustrations, she loved the cute animals and rhymes. It’s no surprise it was the Gold Award Recipient at the 2018 Mom’s Choice Awards.

Love Big” follow Kat Kronenberg’s book “Dream Big“, released in 2017, which also takes place in the African savanna. Look out for her third book in the series (to be released in 2020), “Think Big”.
