Day 32

Breakfast

Scrambled eggs and bacon. There’s only 3 more days left in my fitness challenge! I don’t think I have the energy to get creative.

Workout

Today’s morning class for Baby Boot Camp (Los Angeles – Culver City and Marina Del Rey) was cancelled due to the first day of kindergarten. Instead, held a free class in the afternoon at Carlson Park. Unfortunately, it’s during Aria’s lunchtime (yes, I try to be strict with her schedule), so I had to miss it.

Since I started working out outdoors with Baby Boot Camp (Los Angeles – Culver City and Marina Del Rey), I don’t think I would go back to working out indoors in a smelly gym. I worked out at Westwood Park this morning, and I’ve never worked out there before. I stroller-jogged on the path and worked out on the various fitness bars along the way. Below is a picture of me on the parallel bars. I did the “support travel” exercise, although I had no clue what it was called while I was doing it. I wish I watched this YouTube video beforehand, because it shows different exercises to do on parallel bars. I don’t think I could do half of them at the moment, but they are pretty cool moves to strive for.  I also did a bunch of lunges, push-ups, squatsstep-ups, and sprinted. There was a pull-up bar, but I could not do one pull-up. I used to be able to do a few when I was younger, so when I couldn’t do one, I felt really old and weak . Oh well, just another thing to put on the “to-do list”! It’s a pretty good park to work out at, but I prefer going to class, where I don’t have to think of which exercises to do. Plus, I like chatting with my friends in class!

Lunch at Lemon Tree Kids Cafe in Koreatown

I had lunch today with my friend Tomomi, who suggested we go to Lemon Tree Kids Cafe in Koreatown. It was an interesting place, kind of like Giggles N’ Hugs, but Korean. The food was pretty good. We shared a cobb salad and bulgogi. Kids are required to wear shoes, and parents are instructed to take your shoes off, put them in a locker, and wear rubber sandals they provide. There are exersaucers in the dining area and there is a kid’s play area. I’ll write another post about it later, but for now, here is my lunch:

Dinner

I didn’t have enough time to cook the chicken I was marinating, so I’ll have to save that for tomorrow’s lunch. Tonight, I had an extremely light (and lazy) dinner – leftover fish from Day 28, which I threw some spinach in and ate as a soup. I’m pretty hungry as I’m writing this.

Thankfully, I’ll be back in class tomorrow at Baby Boot Camp. Two days of exercising on my own isn’t as fun as exercising with them!
