“Andi Mack” Premiere and “Coop & Cami – Ask the World”

Today, I attended a special Disney Channel preview event on the Disney Lot in Burbank. Hosted by Kristin Cruz (Public SpeakerRadio Personality, and Entrepreneur), we were treated to sneak preview episodes of Andi Mack and Raven’s Home (which I will write more about in a later post), and learned about the new Disney channel show, Coop & Cami – Ask the World

Andi Mack

ANDI MACK – “The Boys Are Back” (Disney Channel/Fred Hayes)
PEYTON ELIZABETH LEE

This was my first time watching this show, and I thought it was quite good! I love how the cast is realistically diverse. I also really like how the main character and her family is Asian American (like me!) and lives in a multigenerational family.

In the season premiere, we see a lot of changes in Andi and her friends’ lives, both exciting and bizarre. Everyone has a different way of dealing with the changes, and it’s interesting how they handle them.

It’s a great show for kids to learn about relationships.

About Andi Mack

Created and executive produced by acclaimed writer Terri Minsky (“Lizzie McGuire”), “Andi Mack” is a contemporary coming-of-age story about a relatable girl who’s trying to determine where she fits in and the many amazing ways she can live her life. On the eve of her 13th birthday, Andi learns that her older sister, Bex, is actually her mother. This revelation puts Andi on an unfamiliar path of self-discovery which she navigates with the help of her loving albeit complicated family; her two best friends, Cyrus and Buffy; and her middle school crush, Jonah Beck. Along the way, Andi learns that sometimes the unexpected is what makes life great.

Coop & Cami Ask the World

COOP AND CAMI ASK THE WORLD – Disney Channel’s “Coop and Cami Ask the World” stars Albert Tsai as Fred, Ruby Rose Turner as Cameron, Olivia Sanabia as Charlotte, Dakota Lotus as Cooper, Paxton Booth as Ollie, and Rebecca Metz as Jenna. (Disney Channel/Craig Sjodin)

Coop and Cami Ask the World is a show that was made for this time. The show is about two middle school siblings, Cooper (Coop) and Cameron (Cami) Wrather, who co-host an online show “Would You Wrather.” Together with their friend Fred and little brother Ollie, they field offbeat questions and results to their followers, which end in hilarious situations.
