Fitness Friday: Baby Bootcamp’s Yoga style
It’s Fitness Friday! Melinda and Elizabeth of Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) answer this week’s question:
Q. There are so many different types of yoga styles. Which style does Baby Boot Camp incorporate into their workouts and why?
Baby Boot Camp© does a form of yoga called Strollga™. Strollga is a yoga-inspired stroller fitness class format, and it incorporates aspects of traditional yoga practice. Yoga practice helps moms improve flexibility and balance through poses, while being able to spend time with their child. The class format combines strollers and yoga. The stroller is used as a prop to enable modified yoga poses or Asanas. We use easily pronounced names to indicate each pose, which is fun for the kids and babies. The correct yoga pose names are referenced as well.
We incorporate power walking sessions to keep muscles active, and your child happy throughout class.
The class is designed for prenatal and postpartum moms of any fitness level and is a 45 minute class.
