Fitness Friday! MOLO Week 4

This week was Week 4 of The Mother Love Fitness Challenge with Baby Boot Camp (MOLO)! Last week was Supermom week. This week is “Cardio Drills.” I wasn’t very good about doing the MOLO assignments this week, but I’ll list them anyway.

Week 4: Cardio Drills

Sunday

MOLO assignment: Bring your food log to class this week. Discuss your goals, what changes you’ve made and what you’re going to work on.

Monday

MOLO assignment: Bring a friend to class day! Introduce a friend to Baby Boot Camp.

I didn’t make it to Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) class on Monday. I had stomach pains over the weekend, so I was recovering. Also, my aunt came over and we had lunch at Bru’s Counter. I know, not the healthiest, but I wanted to try out the place. Two thumbs up for the chicken waffle sandwich!

Tuesday

MOLO assignment: Do 10 calf raises each time you do dishes or change a diaper today.

I did not participate in this assignment, but I did go to Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) class. Class was good (and tough). Cardio isn’t my strong suit, which is why I’m thankful I went. We did a lot of jogging, lunges, and jumping!

Wednesday

I go to Mom’s Group on Wednesdays, so I don’t go to Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) this day.

MOLO assignment: Skip all processed foods today (prepackaged, boxed, canned)

I ate some leftovers from last week’s cooking fest!

Thursday

MOLO assignment:Do 5 jumping jacks each time you hear/see the word “burpees” today. Post on our MOLO FB page your total count for the day.

I didn’t get a chance to do this challenge, but I also avoided Facebook for most of the day! I did go to Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) class. We had a good workout, despite the damp grass.

I cooked a lot today. I made pesto from scratch and mixed it with pasta and cherry tomatoes. I made garlic shrimp for my husband and me. My daughter ate the same thing except I made some breaded chicken for her instead (which she loved!).

Women’s self defense training for our Baby Boot Camp moms!! Thanks Marina Martial Arts!!!

Today, we had a special self-defense class after an abbreviated Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey)  class at Marina Martial Arts, taught by owner Debbie JonesUrbansitter sponsored the event by providing a sitter for the kids so we could work out. My daughter was all over the place, but I still managed to get a good workout and learned a few key self-defense moves and tips.

MOLO assignment: Calculate your points and send them to your trainer.

I can’t believe the first month (of three) is almost over! I hope to do better next month. Today, we did our “high knees” assessment. I improved by 7. My previous score was 130 high knees in two minutes.
