Elizabeth Avila
AFAA
Elizabeth Avila is an AFAA and Baby Boot Camp certified instructor with a background in classical ballet. She is CPR certified for adults, children and infants. Elizabeth began her ballet career at the age of 5 with the Severance School of Ballet in Fresno, California. She participated in a variety of summer programs, including The American Ballet Theater in New York City, before later moving on to study dance at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia. While studying at CalArts, Elizabeth was accepted into the summer intensive program at the Alvin Ailey Dance Company in New York City where she continued her training. She briefly became a member of the Burbank Media City Ballet in 2006 where she preformed an array of original choreography.
In 2007 Elizabeth took a break from dancing when her first daughter Aspen was born. Soon after, Elizabeth and her husband settled in Culver City and by 2009 she gave birth to her second daughter Karlyn. While searching for a new approach to remain active and engaged in fitness, Elizabeth discovered Baby Boot Camp. The group class offered her a way to stay committed to personal fitness, while juggling the many responsibilities of being a mommy. Elizabeth found Baby Boot Camp to be a fun and creative path to maintaining an exercise regiment while also spending precious time with her little ones. After 3.5 years of training with Baby Boot Camp, Elizabeth became a certified instructor.
She currently lives in Culver City with her husband and two daughters.
