New Book: “Haibu Lost in New York”

Haibu lost in New York

Last night, my daughter and I attended a special book event for, “Haibu Lost in New York,” held at Baltaire Restaurant in Brentwood, Los Angeles. It is a new children’s book series which focuses on wildlife rights, and is in partnership with wildlife conservation organization WildAid.

About the Author

Author and Film Director Blake Freeman‘s first book in a series, Haibu, Lost in New York, is a new heartwarming children’s book series that aims to end wild animal cruelty, one adventure at a time.

Freeman and his team have partnered with WildAid, with the goal is to reduce the global demand for wildlife products. Freeman’s vision for Haibu is to inspire and educate a generation of conservationists who can help put an end to unsustainable practices worldwide.

About the book

Synopsis:

In the small, northern village Montooka, Haibu always knew she can do anything she wants if she just set her mind to it. One day she tries to prove it and goes fishing all by herself, but a harrowing experience finds her stranded on a drifting piece of ice. Before she knows it, she arrives lost in a completely new land she’s never seen before―New York!

As Haibu discovers the city, she learns about a nearby circus that might have clues that would help her find her way back home. But the circus animals are in serious trouble and need help right away. Haibu and her new friends will have to put their heads together to come up with a plan in order to save the animals before things get worse.
