The Home Run for Kids is a morning of exercise, food, entertainment and fun that provides an opportunity for kids, parents, classmates, colleagues, local businesses and their furry friends to work together to solve family homelessness, a growing crisis across Los Angeles.

This past Home Run for Kids was open to the entire community and over 1,500 people were in attendance. Over 35 local schools from across Los Angeles participated including schools from Los Angeles, Culver City and Santa Monica School Districts. Over 750 participants were students ranging from preschool to college ages.

Many local businesses and community organizations participated including sponsors for the event such as Wells Fargo, FrontRunners & New Balance LA, Keslow Camera, Colliers International, Juice Crafters, Rodeo Realty, US Bank, In8Love Chiropractic, jk livin Foundation, Leslie Sacks Fine Art, Teles Properties and Trial Tech. The Home Run for Kids provides fun activities for the entire family to enjoy beyond the race, including an Expo, face painting, balloon animals, a bouncy house and much more. The race course is both stroller and dog friendly (with a leash).

All proceeds from the Home Run for Kids go directly to Upward Bound House. In 2014, the Home Run for Kids raised $75,000. This upcoming event, Upward Bound House expects to draw over 1,800 participants!
