“A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach,” but as a woman, I have to say the same goes for me. As beautiful as flowers and candy are, I love things I can consume. Here are some Valentine’s Day or just “I love you” ideas which can all be purchased on the grocery delivery service, Milk & Eggs.

Cook: Two Grass Fed Rib Eye Steaks from Marcondas Meats

For a delicious dinner for two at home, opt for the 2-pack of rib eye steaks (12 ounces each) for $30. Definitely a bargain compared to a night out at an expensive steakhouse. If you aren’t well-versed in cooking steak, I suggest you do some online research and practice different cooking methods, as well as investing in a cast iron skillet!

When I made this at home, it was more than enough for my husband, daughter and I. Our leftovers turned into some yummy sandwiches the next day.

Cook: Spaghetti and Meatballs

Another good alternative to steak is classic spaghetti and meatballs. I love the already-formed meatballs from Marconda’s Meats, “Uncle Louie’s Delicious Meatballs”. It’s a blend of beef, pork, and seasonings. They are easy to brown and add to sauce to finish cooking. Pair it with one of the many delicious sauces available from Milk & Eggs – either from Dave’s Gourmet or Delmonico’s, and you have yourself an impressive gourmet meal in no time.

Duverger Macarons

I was pretty excited when I saw that Milk & Eggs now carries Duverger Macarons. The dozen pack has an array of flavors to try, wonderful for anyone who loves macarons.

Breakfast Pastries

What better way to start the day than with a variety of delicious pastries? Bread Lounge offers a variety of sweet and savory pastries through Milk & Eggs – from your traditional croissants to individual serving quiches. Also available are BreadBar‘s specialty line of pastries, featuring Krof’n (or Krofne), an airy filled doughnut style pastry. Grab a few of these and present them nicely for a wonderful wake-up to your loved one on Valentine’s Day.

Sweets

Milk & Eggs carries a nice variety of baked sweets, with several gluten-free, vegan, and “healthier” options available. Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen provides tasty treats such as: chocolate chai cookies, thin mint cookies, and pumpkin cheesecake. Gluten-free customers can indulge in coconut brownies, regular brownies, and chocolate chip cookies. Traditional sweets include brownies, cookies, and mixes.

Dietary Restriction Meal Kits

Take the guesswork out of food prep with one of Milk & Eggs specialty meal kits. With a variety of options, it makes decision making easy!
