Last week’s challenge was Clean and Press.
This week’s Baby Boot Camp Mother Love Fitness Challenge (MOLO): Squat with Bicep Curl.
From the Baby Boot Camp MOLO newsletter:
Focus On Form
- Start with feet hip-distance apart, your tube under both feet, and one handle in each hand.
- Lower into a squat by pushing your hips back and bringing your thighs parallel to the ground.
- Push through both feet and straighten your legs out of the squat while lifting your hands (palms facing up) toward your shoulders to do a bicep curl.
- Need a modification? Do one bicep curl at a time, or avoid the added resistance all together.
- To increase intensity, step closer to your tube handles by allowing some tubing slack in-between your feet.
Sunday
MOLO assignment: Do 10 squats with uppercuts while your kids take a bath tonight.
My daughter isn’t able to bathe herself yet, so I did the squats after her bath. One of the things I noticed after I had my baby is my butt seems less..supple? Apparently it’s a thing that happens after pregnancy. (Google it). This week’s workout theme with Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) is helping with that. Squats to the rescue!
Monday
MOLO assignment: Introduce your family to a new vegetable.
I didn’t get a chance to do this one, but I got a lot of great ideas from the posts on the MOLO Facebook page from the other moms. Here are some new veggies I want to try:
Parsnip:
Sunchokes:
Tuesday
MOLO assignment: Eat a healthy snack in-between meals today
I’m so glad I won the Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) MOLO Challenge a few weeks ago. I’ve been eating the KIND bars as my healthy snack!
Wednesday
MOLO assignment: Try using chia seeds in a new recipe, like chia pudding. They are great for digestion!
I usually throw chia seeds in my smoothies. I tried to make chia pudding in the past, but it didn’t turn out right. A week ago, I was inspired by my friend Mirina’s post about chia pudding, so I tried making it again. I ended up using a combination of coconut cream and coconut milk. It took a few tries, and I still haven’t perfected it, but I’m determined to!
Thursday
MOLO assignment: You have two weeks left! Don’t stop now! Check out the fitness board on Pinterest for extra motivation.
The other moms and my daughter are my motivation! Here’s a pic from class yesterday. Mom Strong!

MOLO assignment: SQUAT-A-THON: Challenge your partner to a squat-a-thon. Remember: quality over quantity.
I love my Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City and Marina Del Rey) fit family! I have two lovely squat-a-thon partners for this challenge. Moms encouraging and inspiring other moms is what Baby Boot Camp is all about.
