MOLO Wellness Challenge Week 10

MOLO

Here are the challenges from week 10 of Baby Boot Camp’s MOLO Wellness Challenge. I wish I could say I was a rockstar this week, but stress and car troubles got the best of me. First, car troubles derailed my intention to take HiiT TKD class on Tuesday. Then, my allergies went crazy and I couldn’t stop sneezing. I developed a sore throat, and am not feeling well. All that combined with not working out resulted in a tinge of depression. I didn’t make it to my two workouts today – Baby Boot Camp at Helms Bakery and HiiT TKD at Tae Ryong Brentwood. I know I shouldn’t beat myself up about it. Everyone needs to recharge. Hopefully, I’ll be back and better next week! Nevertheless, as promised, here were the challenges:

Do 10 calf raises each time you do dishes or change a diaper today.

My daughter is in the midst of toilet-learning, so thankfully, I don’t have to change too many diapers anymore. Dishes are another story…

Meatless Monday: Check out our Pinterest page for recipes:tinyurl.com/nutritionsol

We had a lot of leftovers to eat from the weekend, so I could not do Meatless Monday. There are a lot of awesome recipes on the Pinterest page, though. Baba ganoush is one of my favorite dishes!

Eat a healthy snack in-between meals today.

I’m pretty lazy when it comes to snacks. Mandarin oranges are in season right now, and they make an easy, tasty snack!

Try using chia seeds in a new recipe, like chia pudding. They are great for digestion! tinyurl.com/wmchia

I love chia seeds. They are small, unobtrusive, and are easy to add to almost anything. I made chia pudding before (not this week), and I like it. I originally thought they were going to puff up a lot more (like boba), but they just swell up a little.

Do 5 stationary lunges per leg each time you check Facebook today.

I plan on doing 50.

You have two weeks left — finish strong! Eat fruit for breakfast this morning.

I made a fritta for breakfast today because the fruit I was going to eat went bad. Oops. When I do have a chance to eat fruit, I’m not very picky. I usually buy whatever is on sale or looks fresh.

Plan a family fun activity that gets everyone’s blood pumping. Raining? Set up an obstacle course inside the house!

DDP

Its going to rain this weekend, so our activity will be playing XBox Kinect Just Dance. My daughter loves the Disney Party games, and it’s fun for my husband and me too!
