Motion Stretch Studio now open in Westlake Village

By Jonna Coleman (contributor)

This week Ruby from Westsidemommy invited me to try out Motion Stretch Studio in Thousand Oaks. I thought, “Sure, the kids are in school, why not?”

Honestly, I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into and went with an open mind. I would best define Motion Stretch Studio as a cross between a good stretch after (or before) a workout and physical therapy, but on your own terms.

The stretch therapist I received, Fernando, guided me to his massage table and asked me to point out two areas of my body which were giving me trouble. I chose my arms and shoulders, which are generally pretty tight from the previous workouts. He stretched, massaged and used a tool that kneaded the muscles deeply.

Wow! I zipped in and out of there in 30 minutes feeling more energized and surprisingly pain free. It was like a full body massage that pinpointed just the areas I needed and I didn’t have to be there long.

Love the concept, love the atmosphere – I’m hooked!

Motion Stretch Studio

Our Mission

People have been stretching wrong for a generation, and MOTION is on a mission to make things right. We believe in the transformational power of whole-body stretching and are committed to making it available to people of all needs and lifestyles. Our proven system targets all body areas to increase energy and elasticity while preventing injury. As fitness industry veterans, entrepreneurs, activists, and coaches, we’re thrilled with the potential of the MOTION revolution.

MOTION Stretch was created by a group of industry veterans and experts who have spent years in the trenches of all types of modalities of bodywork – and found that the work that made the biggest difference was myofacial release and trigger point therapy. With fitness and workouts a key part of most people’s lives today, we discovered that this was the most sustainable way to align, lengthen and strengthen, as well as flush the lymph, break up adhesions, increase range of MOTION and improve flexibility.

Our one-on-one model allows clients to be stretched for 30-minutes at a time, with an offering that is accessible and affordable. What used to be highly specialized, has been sequenced through our M8 protocol to address the body and mind – we call it the “body mind” – as one energetic force field.
