When I was a kid, going to the movies meant sitting in uncomfortable chairs that may or may not have dried gum under the seat. It was also about getting to the theatre early to reserve seats for friends by hanging jackets and leaving items on seats while giving the stink eye to anyone who passed asking if they were available. You were lucky if there was a selection of more than just popcorn, unappetizing hot dogs, and boxed candy. Remembering those times is nostalgic, and definitely makes me feel old when I have to remind my child about how it was “when I was her age.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studio Movie Grill<\/a><\/strong> is a dine-in movie theatre experience that follows the trend of upscale viewing entertainment. We received complimentary tickets from the Studio Movie Grill<\/a><\/strong> in Glendale to experience it first-hand and share our story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Studio Movie Grill<\/a><\/strong> is located in the downtown Arts and Entertainment district in Glendale, California<\/a>. It’s a very cute, walkable area with it’s own parking garage and plenty of outdoor seating, restaurants, and bars. I haven’t been to this part of Glendale before. It is definitely an area worth visiting!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two entrances, depending on your ticketing needs. We entered the full-service area because we had to redeem our vouchers. The furnishings and decor are very stylish – a great place to lounge while you wait for someone in your party to get the tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friend and I took our kids to see the comedy and family movie Playing With Fire<\/em>. It was playing in one of their smaller theaters since it has been out for a few weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reserved Seating<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Studio Movie Grill<\/a><\/strong> is a 100% reserved seating theater. No surprises and your party gets to sit together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comfortable, reclining, heated seats<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I want one of these seats in my home – very cushiony, reclining seats with a seat warming option and<\/em> cup holder cooler button! This tired mama could have fallen asleep if my kid wasn’t laughing so hard at the movie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dining Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One tiring things of being a mom is figuring out what to make for dinner. Even though dining out is always more expensive than cooking at home, I happily paid $10 (plus tax and tip) for a kid’s two-slider cheeseburger meal with fries, a juice box, and a cookie for my child because it meant that I didn’t have to shop for it, cook it, serve it, or clean up. A wait staff available at the push of a button? Yes please!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viewing Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The sound was good, the screen was big, and my kid was happy. What more could I ask for?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
