Watching a live taping can be a fun thing to do if you are a big fan of the show. Otherwise, it&#8217;s a lot of waiting, and takes up the entire day. My niece and brother, who are visiting this week, are huge Conan fans and got tickets (through\u00a0the TeamCoco Website at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/teamcoco.com\/tickets\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/teamcoco.com\/tickets<\/a>)\u00a0ahead of time. I drove them on Tuesday, and hung out in Burbank until the taping was over. The area for parking or drop-off is (at the time of writing) at the parking structure at Gate 8 (<span style=\"color: #222222;\">6510 Forest Lawn Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068)<\/span>, where there is a waiting area inside the parking garage. You have to present your ticket and I.D., and go through a metal detector. If you want to sit\u00a0in the first row, you should try to get there around 9:30am or 10:00am. I dropped off my niece and brother at 12:30pm.<\/li>\n<li>Around 1:00pm, each person (or group of people who arrived together)\u00a0is\u00a0assigned a number to hold their\u00a0place in line.<\/li>\n<li>Walk around (if you didn&#8217;t drive), find a place to eat lunch if you&#8217;re hungry, read a book, or find something to occupy your time while you wait<\/li>\n<li>Return to the holding area by 2:00pm<\/li>\n<li>Around 2:45pm, you will be called by groups to a line up again, but closer to the studio.<\/li>\n<li>Before they walk you over to the studio, they ask you to turn off your cellphones.<\/li>\n<li>Jimmy Pardo warms up the audience once everyone is seated, around 4:00pm.<\/li>\n<li>At 4:30pm, the show starts and Conan comes out to start the show.<\/li>\n<li>By 5:30pm, the show is over and the audience walks in a line back to the parking structure where they are then released.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>If you dropped someone off at the show and are waiting for them:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Run errands. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.target.com\/sl\/Burbank--Target-Store\/1362\" target=\"_blank\">Target<\/a> is at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitburbank.com\/what-to-do\/burbank-empire-center\" target=\"_blank\">Empire Center<\/a>, which also houses Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and others.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/store\/burbank\" target=\"_blank\">Ikea<\/a>. I easily kill an hour just walking from the entrance to the exit<\/li>\n<li>Watch a movie at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amctheatres.com\/movie-theatres\/amc-burbank-town-center-8\" target=\"_blank\">AMC Burbank Town Center<\/a>. I really wish I could have done this, but I had my baby daughter with me.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the park. Burbank has plenty of great parks. <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/ms?msid=215177536333782265753.0004acd9820828809801c&amp;msa=0&amp;ll=34.183619,-118.339834&amp;spn=0.053252,0.07699&amp;dg=feature\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> for a map and listings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plan a playdate at a park.<\/strong> This is exactly what I did. Luckily, several of my friends who have\u00a0kids live in the valley and I rarely get a chance to see them. We all got together at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burbank91502.com\/pacific-park-burbank-ca.html\" target=\"_blank\">Pacific Park<\/a>, which is near\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.frys.com\/ac\/storeinfo\/burbank-location-frys-electronics-hours-maps-directions\" target=\"_blank\">Frys<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burbankpd.org\/programs\/animal-shelter\/\" target=\"_blank\">Burbank Animal Shelter<\/a>\u00a0and say hi to some adorable dogs and cats who need a home.
