Before I had my daughter, I didn’t know much about fashion and function in the baby world. All I knew were the regular suspects – big name brands you find at chain stores. As my daughter grew, so did my knowledge in this arena. My friend, Maria Aldana<\/strong><\/a>, who is a fashionista and mompreneur (she owns The Sweet Potatoe clothing<\/a>), introduced me to Freshly Picked<\/a>. Freshly Picked<\/strong> is a brand by mompreneur<\/a>\u00a0Susan Petersen<\/strong>, which is known for their baby moccasins<\/a><\/strong>. She was also featured on Shark Tank <\/strong><\/a>(and won!). We received a pair to review and are doing a giveaway!<\/p>\n

We receive nothing but compliments when my daughter Aria wears her Freshly Picked<\/strong><\/a> moccasins. “They are so cute!”, “Adorable and unique,” and “Where can I get those?” are just a few things we hear. I had a difficult time deciding\u00a0which pair to receive, because there are so many cute designs and materials<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to choose from. I decided on glacier<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>because I love the color, and they will stand out enough on their own, similar to the choice made when buying a pair of hot kicks or fancy pumps. As you can see, they go well with different outfits and activities:<\/p>\n

Freshly Picked<\/strong> moccs are unisex<\/strong>. Little boys can rock them too, and look good wearing them.<\/p>\n

My daughter started walking at 14 months. “Late,” by my mother’s watch, but fine by me. Soft soled shoes, such as these moccasins, protect the feet but allow close contact to the ground, which is really important when learning how to walk. Since she is very small for her age, she won’t outgrow these moccs for awhile!<\/p>\n
