We went to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbotkinney.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Abbot Kinney Festival<\/strong><\/a> bright and early (early enough to get a kick-ass parking spot!) to join\u00a0our friend Annmarie and her family, and a bunch of other families for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbotkinney.org\/kidsquad\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Kidsquad<\/strong><\/a> parade. It started at 9:45am, and kicked-off the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbotkinney.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Abbot Kinney Festival<\/a>. Led by incredibly talented and fun-to-dance-to musicians, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SambaDaMudanca\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Samba Da Mudanca<\/strong><\/a> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Sandra-Sandia\/125266720841298\" target=\"_blank\">Sandra Sandia<\/a><\/strong>, we walked and danced with a\u00a0tambourine from <strong>California Avenue<\/strong> to <strong>Westminster Avenue\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0<strong>Abbot Kinney Boulevard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/instagram.com\/p\/tgNx9ZOCgX\/embed\/\" width=\"612\" height=\"710\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Before we went to\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbotkinney.org\/map\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kidsquad (mostly fenced-in) area<\/a>, we stopped at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bluebottlecoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Blue Bottle Coffee Shop<\/strong><\/a>. The first time I had this coffee was at the <a href=\"https:\/\/bluebottlecoffee.com\/cafes\/ferry-building\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ferry Building<\/strong><\/a> in San Francisco. It remained one of my favorite coffees ever since.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/instagram.com\/p\/tgPEEMuCjb\/embed\/\" width=\"612\" height=\"710\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbotkinney.org\/kidsquad\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Kidsquad<\/strong><\/a> area was a lot of fun. Aria enjoyed the water play area, which had a variety of kid-powered water pumps over buckets by <a href=\"http:\/\/pumpandsplash.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Pump and Splash<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/instagram.com\/p\/tgP54ouClM\/embed\/\" width=\"612\" height=\"710\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After that, it was time to head home for lunch and nap. I feel like I got my arm <a title=\"Fitness Friday\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westsidemommy.com\/site\/fitness-friday\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>workout<\/strong><\/a> today because I didn&#8217;t bring the stroller and carried Aria 70% of the time. Good thing <a title=\"\u201cAt least she\u2019s a girl,\u201d \u2013 something parents say without thinking twice\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westsidemommy.com\/site\/at-least-shes-a-girl\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>she&#8217;s light!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/instagram.com\/p\/tgQe9AuCmJ\/embed\/\" width=\"612\" height=\"710\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We had a lot of fun at the festival today, and look forward to\u00a0returning next year!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a rough week (more on that in another post), so it was nice to have some fun today.
