Daniel L. Simmons<\/strong> (father of two and grandfather to four)<br \/>\n<strong>Rev. Depayne Middleton-Doctor<\/strong> (minister, and mother of four)<br \/>\n<strong>Susie Jackson<\/strong> (aunt of Tywanza Sanders, mother, and grandmother)<\/p>\n<p>In a few weeks, our country will celebrate Independence Day. Let\u2019s revisit the excerpt from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archives.gov\/exhibits\/charters\/declaration_transcript.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Declaration of Independence<\/strong><\/a> which states,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe hold these Truths to be self-evident, that <strong>all Men are created equal<\/strong>, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness\u2026\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Let\u2019s not forget those who perished on Wednesday, or any other day. And let\u2019s teach our children to treat EVERYONE equally.
