Last month, our friends Bucky and Gabby made plans with us and two other couples for a dinner party at their house. \u00a0This allowed us enough time to arrange for my aunt to watch the baby, and for us to plan what we should bring. \u00a0Everyone invited is a foodie<\/a>\u00a0and loves to cook, so it was a given that we should bring something gourmet and homemade if possible. \u00a0The hosts provided cocktails, wine, and the main course. \u00a0Another couple (Adam and Christie and Adam) brought some wine and appetizers for cocktail hour. \u00a0Scott and Kristy brought an amazing first course and beautiful centerpiece. \u00a0We were assigned dessert. \u00a0I love ice cream and thought about being lazy and just bringing a few pints from my favorite ice cream shops, Scoops Westside<\/a>\u00a0and\/or Saffron and Rose Ice Cream<\/a>. \u00a0Instead, I decided (for myself and for my husband) to be ambitious and make our own. \u00a0We had never made ice cream before, but I think it turned out great. \u00a0(Post about the process coming soon). \u00a0Here are some photos and descriptions of our enjoyable meal:<\/p>\n
