The following post was written by Brit reporter (currently living in LA)\u00a0Emma Foster<\/strong><\/a> for Westside Mommy. She\u00a0attended\u00a0a special event with her son Corben, which celebrated the\u00a0return of Teletubbies to television!<\/em><\/p>\n

The adorable Teletubbies were in LA on Saturday<\/span> to celebrate the shows\u2019 return to the US \u2013 and WestsideMommy was invited to \u2018Teletubbyland\u2019 to meet them.<\/p>\n

As a Brit I was quite excited about being invited to the event \u2013 I remember when the show first came out in the UK and how kids (and adults) back home quickly became obsessed with it.<\/p>\n

I was also looking forward to introducing my 20-month-old Corben to Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La La and Po \u2013 the show’s cute and colorful characters.<\/p>\n

Corben had never seen the Teletubbies before and was mesmerized by the special 360 degree screening of the show at the event.<\/p>\n

The new series<\/strong><\/a>, which premiered on Nick Jr last month, is exactly as I remember \u2013 except the Teletubbies have had a couple of subtle updates \u2013 including touch screens on their bellies, which they press to watch the Tubby Tales of children having fun and learning new things.<\/p>\n

Corben and the other kids loved the new show \u2013 especially when the Teletubbies did a special dance – lots of them were joining in!<\/p>\n

Then for the best bit \u2013 we got to meet the real Teletubbies up close.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Corben was super excited to get up close to the four larger than life characters – but unfortunately cried when we tried to pose for a selfie (don’t be offended Dipsy we had the same problem with the Easter Bunny!)<\/p>\n

There were loads of other fun activities for little ones at Teletubbyland – including real life bunnies to pet, face painting, balloon animals, a special Teletubby photo booth and playground equipment.<\/p>\n

All the kids had a great time – it’s a shame Teletubbyland isn’t a permanent fixture!<\/p>\n

Corben was a big fan of the LaLa headband in his goodie bag – he won’t take it off. I’m\u00a0sure the Teletubbies will soon become his new favorite show.<\/p>\n

You can catch the new series of Teletubbies on Nick Jr<\/strong><\/a> every day at 8am<\/span> \u2013 it\u2019s the perfect show for preschoolers (and I think it’s a nice relaxing watch for moms too!).<\/p>\n
