The local STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education franchise,\u00a0Zaniac<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, invited Westside Mommy to a “Back-to-School Bash” at the Zaniac Santa Monica Campus<\/strong><\/a> last Wednesday, August 10th. Owner Tracy Williams hosted\u00a0kids and their parents for a night of fun, engaging STEM-related activities, just in time to get kids\u2019 minds back into school mode. Westside Mommy contributors Shelby and her mother Jonna attended the open house event. Here is their review!<\/em><\/p>\n

Zaniac Was Super Fun! – By Shelby<\/h1>\n

I really liked visiting a place thats called\u00a0Zaniac<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/em>. it was super fun! They had a 3D printer and I got to make a name tag with it and not the kind that you stick on your shirt but the kind that is a rectangular prism that you can hang on your backpack and\/or purse. I even got to choose the color – green of course!\u00a0I had a great time with my first experience of a 3D printer!<\/p>\n

Also, they had other rooms like: a Mindcraft room, tinkering room (my little sister loved this room!), a robot room and more! The robot room was so fun and my family and I got to program a robot to knock over some objects. The Minecraft room was also super fun. I learned a lot of new things in just a few minutes. This was such an awesome place and they really know how to make learning cool ..\u00a0I would love to take classes there at Zaniac!!!<\/p>\n

This is an amazing place with competitive prices. Any kid attending these classes are lucky and will certainly have a blast. They have made it very creative and I’m pretty sure kids will forget they are learning. My husband and I are going to try this for our girls (age 6 & 10) and feel it will benefit them in their educational futures.<\/p>\n

On a side note: they do a two hour drop off once a month ($25 a kid) where the kids will do a pre-set fun learning\u00a0project and the parents can go grab dinner…so looking forward to this!!!<\/p>\n
