Hi, it\u2019s Shelby again, and today I have a special guest blogging with me, my best friend since we were three, Thaice<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cI\u2019m so thrilled to blog with you today, Shelby!!!…\u201d<\/p>\n

Now let’s talk chili…<\/h2>\n

\"CocoaChili\"<\/p>\n

There were around 20 different vendors who made chili, all competing\u00a0for the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place winner ribbon! The funniest thing was the guy who won 1st<\/sup> place for making the best chili had never made chili before! He usually teaches music. It’s so hard to believe, but it’s true! Well, I don\u2019t think he would lie – the first time I (Thaice) made eggs they were so good! We both agree it was very yummy chili and<\/strong><\/em> it had cocoa in it.<\/p>\n

So, we asked ourselves (to each other),<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was your favorite chili stand?\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, it’s hard to say.<\/p>\n

We liked them ALL even though they were all so, so different.<\/h2>\n

\"ShelbyFavorite\"<\/p>\n

Shelby: I liked the first one I tried from, Tavern 1\/Malibu\u2019s Own BBQ Restaurant<\/em><\/strong>. It was so good and the owner, Marco, and the other people in his booth, were nice too! I\u2019m not sure what prize they won but I\u2019m sure it was a good one.<\/p>\n

Thaice: I agree with you on that, Shelby \u2013 it was yummy! But my favorite was the guy who won 1st<\/sup> \u2013 I love chocolate!!<\/p>\n

Also, we liked the Fire House Chili<\/strong>, which was smoky \u2013 they were so upset they didn\u2019t place in the top three\u2026
\n\"FireStation\"<\/p>\n

Also, two local Rugby clubs were there with their chilies\u00a0\u2013 The Santa Monica Dolphins<\/strong> and The Malibu Rugby Club<\/strong>. Both their chilies\u00a0were good, but we<\/em> say leave the chili to the Americans \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Our moms\u2019 (Jonna & Candice) favorite seemed to be the BBQ flavor chili from Mestico<\/em><\/strong> and Jersey Jimmy\u2019s Killer Chili <\/em><\/strong>from New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Games and Rides<\/h2>\n

THEN there were the fun games and rides: we all won little stuffed dogs on the train race game and a different kind of stuffed dog at the balloon pop game. But I\u2019d have to say our favorite two games were the softball game where the ball was floating and the ladder climb; that\u2019s where we wanted to spend most our money\u2026even though we didn\u2019t win it was still a total blast!<\/p>\n

The rides were scary. Thaice and her mom really enjoyed the zero gravity<\/strong> one that goes around and sort of sticks you to the wall and the roller coaster Thunder Bolt<\/strong> that goes around-and-around, up-and-down, forwards and then backwards. Yikes!<\/p>\n

Our moms want us to mention that the prices were way too high and you don\u2019t get anything included in the entrance fee \u2013 our moms think that\u2019s why it was not very filled with people\u2026<\/p>\n
