Special Interactive Experience to Takes Place from December 21, 2016 to January 15, 2017<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Magic of Laika<\/strong> is\u00a0back at Universal Studios Hollywood<\/strong><\/a> and I highly recommend you check it out. The interactive experience showcases all the works Laika<\/strong><\/a> has done over the past decade: Coraline<\/strong><\/em>, ParaNorman<\/strong><\/em>, Boxtrolls<\/strong><\/em>, and the newest edition, Kubo and the Two Strings<\/em><\/strong>. Although I haven’t seen ParaNorman<\/em> or Kubo<\/em> (embarrassing, I know), after seeing the models from the production, I plan\u00a0to watch them during the\u00a0holiday break.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

All the models on display from the movies were\u00a0breathtaking. The best part of the exhibit: nothing was encased in glass! Only centimeters away from the “Evil Other Mother” from Coraline, my\u00a0inner child really wanted to touch the displays, but I resisted. Most of the time, my sister and I played a guessing game of what materials were used\u00a0to create the models.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, in each section of the exhibit were workers with fun and, quite frankly, awesome information about the film in which you were walking through. My biggest regret was not asking them more questions about the productions! I learned that Boxtrolls<\/strong><\/em> was one of the longest productions for\u00a0Laika<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to complete. It took\u00a0ten years to create, five of which were post-production. Also, Kubo<\/em> pushed the envelope in the 3D printing for artists.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If you love technology or craftsman skill, you’ll really appreciate the artistry. If you’re a fan of the movies, you’ll be happy to see your favorite characters in person. And if you’re like me, who hasn’t seen a some\u00a0of the movies, you’ll be angry with yourself for not doing so already. Basically, if you have the chance, The Magic of Laika<\/strong> exhibit in Universal Studios Hollywood at the Globe Theater during it’s limited engagement!<\/p>\n

This special event takes place within the theme park\u2019s Globe Theatre and is included in the price of admission.<\/h4>\n

From Coraline to Kubo: A Magical LAIKA Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The innovative, interactive Experience offers an up-close look at the artistry and imagination behind LAIKA\u2019s groundbreaking 10-year filmmaking history, which includes the Academy Award-nominated films Coraline <\/i>(2009), ParaNorman<\/i> (2012) and The Boxtrolls<\/i> (2014), as well as this year\u2019s acclaimed Kubo and the Two Strings.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Coraline to Kubo: A Magical LAIKA Experience\u201d showcases the evolution of LAIKA\u2019s unique blend of handcrafted stop-motion animation and visual effects magic that will once again come to life in four imaginatively themed rooms. The extensive display of original sets, puppets and props will immerse guests in their singular, fantastical worlds.<\/p>\n

The exhibition previously debuted this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood and was met with tremendous success, enjoyed by thousands of guests.<\/p>\n
