Recently, Westside Mommy correspondent Shelby C. attended a week of summer camp at Camp Wildfolk in West Hollywood.

Shelby attended Camp Wildfolk with her sister for a discounted rate in exchange for writing an honest review about her experience. Her and her Mother’s reviews are below. All photos provided by Camp Wildfolk.

Shelby’s experience at Camp Wildfolk

Shelby here. I recently went to a summer camp for one week called Camp Wildfolk.

It was so fun there. We got to choose different activities: camp games, sports, fashion or crafty creations – I love that we had a choice! The first day, I did sports. It was awesome! I also chose fashion and made an awesome shirt which tie-dyed then designed. “Eagle” was one of my camp counselors – they all had cool names like that! My sister Lucy (age 6) learned about skyscrapers and made one out of boxes. Making things in stop motion video was one of my favorite things to do. In the middle of the week we even got to go on a field trip to Disneyland! The teachers and students were all so nice!

I had a great time! Next summer I might be going to a hockey, basketball dance, cooking, swimming camp too, I hope!!! Can’t wait to write about it!

From Mom:

Both my girls (6 & 10) went to Camp Wildfolk for one week. They had a lot of fun. Their favorite part seemed to be that they mostly got to choose their activities each day. I liked how easy the drop-off/pick-up was. They had a big parking lot so I never had to worry about finding or paying for parking. Sadly, it was a bit of a commute from where we lived, but I still managed to get there quickly from Westwood to West Hollywood. If you live in the neighborhood it is a very nice, trustworthy camp for your kids! On a side note it does seem to be on the pricier side…

I’m a parent of two girls. I started this blog while living in Los Angeles, shortly after having my first daughter. I started it to share information about events, classes, and products. We now live in Northern Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.
