Yesterday, my family and I enjoyed a special tasting of some classic and new brunch items at The Tuck Room Tavern at Westwood’s IPIC Theatre.
The Ambiance
The Tuck Room Tavern at IPIC Theater is an extension of the Tuck Room concept from Chef Sherry Yard. It offers American fare and creative fusions. Upon entering, it reminds me of a well-designed and decorated modern New York hotel lobby, with comfortable and stylish seating, high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers, and quirky art. The brightly-lit “conservatory” area, where we were seated, is an extension of the design, but with a large windows that allow the bright L.A. weather to shine through. Dining here definitely feels like a “night out” or a “special day,” depending on the time. Either way, it puts the whole family at ease and is a great way to enjoy a meal before or after watching a movie at IPIC theater.

The Food
We thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was creatively presented, nicely portioned, and perfect for sharing.

I would call this a new meeting spot for moms! All day Tuesdays and Thursdays, enjoy $5 beers, $5 wines by the glass, and $7 farm-to-glass cocktails (Norma Jeane, Tanzy Margarita, Tanzy Sangria, Tanzy Mule). Six-dollar appetizers include: Housemade Meatballs, Prosciutto & Arugula Flatbread, Margherita & Buffalo Mozzarella Flatbread, Chef Jet Tila’s Spicy tuna on Crispy Rice.
