LA Zoo Lights 2018

On Friday, November 16th, we attended the lighting ceremony and first official day of Zoo Lights at the Los Angeles Zoo!

We were entertained by holiday songs by an acapella group before the countdown.

The celebrity guests who led the countdown were: third baseman of the L.A. Dodgers Justin Turner, actress Carolyn Hennesey, actor Chris Sullivan who plays “Toby” on “This is Us”, and news anchor Julie Chang from Good Day L.A.and Fox 11 Morning News.

The L.A. Zoo announced they would donate admission tickets to the Justin Turner Foundation, whose mission is to support homeless veterans, children (and their families) battling life-altering illnesses and diseases and various youth baseball organizations.

This is our second year attending Zoo Lights, and there are some wonderful additions, or at least some things we missed out on last time. Fun additions included: a choreographed water, laser and light show, and glow in the dark dancers!

Definitely check out L.A. Zoo Lights this holiday season! Your family will have a blast!
