Space Jam: A New Legacy
Westside Mommy contributor Claudia Segoviano attended this event and reports from Los Angeles.
This past Sunday, my son and I had the opportunity to watch Space Jam: a New Legacy.
About Space Jam: A New Legacy
After 25 years, the Loon Squad returns to help the basketball star LeBron James beat the Goon Squad in an epic basketball game. This time, the basketball game is inside the Serververse, a multiverse world housing all WB’s characters, where Al G. Rhythm (Don Cheadle) is the A.I. villain. Al G. decides to digitalize the basketball player and his son challenging them to a basketball game where they have to play against each other if they want to return safe to their world and keep their looney friends from being deleted.
LeBron James is transformed into a cartoon and travels into the world of WB looking for the best players for his team, with the help of Bugs Bunny (Jeff Bergman). After finding the Toon Squad, they all get converted into 3D characters to begin the game against the Goon Squad.
The Goon Squad are characters developed by Dom in a video game he created and have “powers” that make them almost invincible.
What we loved about the movie
My son and I enjoyed the movie; it was very entertaining to see lots of characters from WB like the Flinstones, Tiny Toons, Batman and Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, King Kong, and Harry Potter among others who make a cameo in the movie. With stunning visuals, CGI characters with lots of detail, and nice and clean movements it is a movie the whole family can enjoy.
The Space Jam Special Event Experience
After the screening, we attended the Space Jam experience where we threw some hoops.
