Toddler Bed Transition

When I went to my daughter’s room to get her up after her nap today, I found her on top of the rails of her crib. She was balancing her feet on one side and her arms on the other, with her body canopying over. “Crap,” I thought. “Time to convert this crib into a toddler bed.” She’s always been a good night sleeper and as of late, a horrible daytime napper. This new development means I will have zero “me” time from now on.

We have a convertible crib similar to this one

It’s a nice crib. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the extra screws it came with. I had to drive to Home Depot tonight to buy compatible screws for the toddler rail. Tonight is the first night and I told my husband, who usually puts her to bed, “Good Luck.”

We never had a Baby Cam before, but I think it’s time to look for one. Baby-proofing is one thing, toddler-proofing is another. Any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated!
